This tour is a good combine of Eastern, Central and Western Turkey. You will have chance to compare the differences between these  regions, their cultures and cuisine during this tour. You will also have chance to mingle with the locals especially with the home stays the we will arrange during this tour. 

THE TOUR COVERS: Highlights of Istanbul, Gobekli Tepe, Urfa, Mt. Nemrut, Highlights of Cappadocia, Konya, Kas and the Mediterranean Coast of Turkey, Pamukkale and Ephesus and around.

The tour is every SATURDAY

The price of the tour is 2900 USD per person. Single Supplement is 600 USD. 

The price includes all airport transfers privately, all domestic flights, all day tour privatly, entrance fees to the sites, all meals as listed and accommodation at boutique hotels. 

THE ITINERARY

DAY 1: ISTANBUL (D)
Arrival day. We will meet in the evening to have a welcome meeting. Later, we will go out together to have a welcome dinner.

DAY 2: URFA (BD)
We will have a city tour with our guide in Istanbul. (Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Hippodrome, Basilica Cistern are the places to be visited with our guide). In the afternoon we will take a short flight to Urfa. We will visit this Eastern Anatolian city with an oriental atmosphere, where people believe Prophet Abraham was born. 

DAY 3: MT. NEMRUT (BD)
Today we explore the royal structures of the Kingdom of Commagene, a 2000-years-old civilization that played an important role of being a bridge between Hellenism and Eastern cultures.  We will visit the tomb of Antiochus I Theos, the most famous king of Commagene, which is located on the peak of the highest mountain in the region over 2100 metres. (Approx. 2,5 hrs of driving)

DAY 4: CAPPADOCIA (BD)
We will drive to Cappadocia today. On this journey, we will see how the landscape and the culture between the eastern and central Turkey changes in an amazing way. (Approx. 7 hrs of driving)

DAY 5: CAPPADOCIA (BD)
We will start the day with one of the highlights of Cappadocia, the Goreme open-air museum. Then we will drive to Zelve open-air museum, which was used as a village since Byzantine era. After visiting the site, we will have lunch here and continue to Uchisar Castle which was used as a watch tower once over the Silk road. After visiting some more popular places and attractions, we will drive back to our hotel.  We will go to a Turkish folk dance show later in the night. 

DAY 6: CAPPADOCIA (BD)
This is a late-start day and we will first visit Kaymakli Underground city. After some more visits to important areas in the area, we will drive back to our hotel. On this last day of Cappadocia, you also will have a chance to go to Turkish Bath and enjoy this centuries-old tradition.

DAY 7: CAPPADOCIA – KONYA (BD)
We will start early and first drive to a Caravanserai, which was used as a hotel for the caravans in ancient times. After the Caravanserai visit, we will continue to Konya. We will have lunch here and then visit the Mevlana Museum dedicated to Rumi, founder of the brotherhoof of the whirling dervishes. From here we will continue to Beysehir Lake to stay with a family overnight.

DAY 8: KONYA – KAS (BD)
You will drive to the small town of Kas on the Mediterranean coast, which reflects the lifestyle on the Mediterrenean best. On the way to Kas, you will visit Aspendos Theater, the best preserved Roman theater building in the world.

DAY 9: KAS (BL)
Full-day boat tour over the sunken city of Kekova. You will also walk up to a small Crusader Castle with a great view of the area.

 

DAY 10: KAS – PAMUKKALE (BD)
After a late breakfast you will drive to Pamukkale. Here, you will have lunch first and then visit the ancient Roman city of Hierapolis, its Necropolis, the biggest ancient cemetery in Turkey, and the white terraces of Pamukkale. Tonight you can rest at the thermal spa of your hotel.

DAY 11: PAMUKKALE – SELCUK (BD)
You will drive to Selcuk today. On the way you will visit Aphrodisias, a Roman city famous for its sculptures. Once you get to Selcuk, you will check in to your hotel and after some rest you will head to Sirince Village, which is famous for fruit wines, and Turkish Pancake. You will also have time to explore the alleyways of the village as well.

DAY 12: SELCUK (BD)
After breakfast, you will first visit Virgin Mary’s House where it is believed that she spent the final years of her worldly life. Then you will continue to Ephesus, the best-preserved Roman City in the Eastern Mediterranean. After lunch, you will also visit the Artemis Temple, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world and St. John’s Basilica, the burial place of the beloved apostle of Jesus.

DAY 13: SELCUK – ISTANBUL (BD)
After a late breakfast, you will fly back to Istanbul. Your afternoon is free to explore the parts of the city you missed.

DAY 14: ISTANBUL
After the breakfast you will be transferred to the airport. Tour ends upon arrival to the airport.

 

SO WHAT’S THE REST OF THE DEAL?

Hotel pick up

You will be met at your hotel by your guide and your private A/C van. After the tour you will be transferred back to your hotel by the van as well.

Since you will be assisted by a profesional tourist guide during the tour you will not need to wait at the ticket lines.
